Welcome to Xlerate
So what is Xlerate? Well to put it simple, we are an online magazine type website. You could say one of many in the world but hey, we like to think that the world wide web has room for us and our little corner of it. |
What is the nature of Xlerates contents & subject? In brief its core areas of interest are anything with four wheels really. Motorsport & Motoring in all of its forms, Road, Race and Rally. As well as the odd other subject thrown into the mix.
What is Xlerates Background? Owners Andy & Brian had both run separate independent web-sites for a number of years in the past. So they decided to team up to create one bigger better site. And in 2003 Xlerate was born, with it's main area of interest being the modified car and cruise scene |

Why the name Xlerate ? Xlerate was chosen for a name because we wanted to be more than just another "cruise" or "car club" site, we didn't want to limit ourselves. We wanted to be future proof with room to grow and evolve. |
The team was formed with a bunch of like minded people, who all had the same interest and passion, a group who had become friends over time thru the modified car scene. Over time the team grew older and our interest shifted. We started to focus on other areas with Motor sport becoming more of an interest. |
In 2006 Xlerate's interests started shift, we started focus more on motorsports as we started to attend more and more race & rally events around the U.K.. A few years on from the birth and Xlerate has become what you see today. A site dedicated to Motorsports, Performance and Modified Cars, Road, Race & Rally. |
In 2007 Xlerate had a very successful year traveling all around the UK to cover a wide range of events. With major events such as the British Touring Car Championships (BTCC), Deutsche Touring Car Masters (DTM), The FIA & British GT Championships, Britcar Championships, British Rally Championships (BRC) and World Rally Championships (WRC) all being featured on the Xlerate website.
Staying true to our grass routes we also had time for some modified action visiting shows such as Ripspeed Donny North held at Donnington Park and Trax held at Silverstone. |
UK Rallying played a big part in our 2007 events coverage. Following many of the UK's championships including the MSA Gravel Rally Championships, the MSA British Historic Rally Championship, and the BTRDA, we had a feast of action in the forest up and down the country.

The UK circuits always provided us with a wealth of race and track action and we regularly visit Silverstone, Thruxton and Brands Hatch. Following many race series from the 720mc, BRSCC & BARC. |
The future for Xlerate is clear for us, as we continue to bring you the very best in motorsport and motoring. And also continure to cover the very best in Road, Race & Rally events, showing you all that the UK has to offer and all this still 100% for free. |
We wish to welcome anyone and everyone who wishes to share our passion and interest online. And invite them to join our forum and at the same time, ask that they feel free to ask any question about xlerate. |
